Platelets are at 280 after my first full week of work - pretty good! I'm trying to stay mellow and not get too excited about being out and about again... who'd have ever thought going back to normal life could be so much fun :)
Dr. Pastore says every other day Prednisone should be the med schedule for about another month, since its a low enough dose he figures the small amount shouldn't affect me (I'll say! geez after being crazy at 60mg daily, 2.5 every other day is nothing!) and the slow slow slooooow taper might really help avoid another relapse right away.
Its still back and forth from cold & icky rain, to sporadic sunny nice days here in NYC... looking forward to spring! My next test is Friday 4/24!

378! :)
I am so happy to report that after the first week back at work (I am being very careful not to over-exert) my platelets are at 378! A fabulous reading at any point, but especially pleasing this week :)
Next test is Tuesday!
